Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme held by Jill at Breaking the Spine to feature upcoming books that we can't wait to get our hands on.
Author: Veronica Rossi
Publisher: HarperTeen
Date of Release: January 8, 2013
Goodreads Description: It's been months since
Aria last saw Perry. Months since Perry was named Blood Lord of the
Tides, and Aria was charged with an impossible mission. Now, finally,
they are about to be reunited. But their reunion is far from perfect.
The Tides don't take kindly to Aria, a former Dweller. And with the
worsening Aether storms threatening the tribe's precarious existence,
Aria begins to fear that leaving Perry behind might be the only way to
save them both. Threatened by false friends, hidden enemies, and powerful temptations, Aria and Perry wonder, Can their love survive through the ever night?
Why am I waiting? I loved Under the Never Sky and after reading the excerpt provided on HarperTeen's website, it's not surprising that I can't wait to get my hands on it. We're apparently going to learn a lot more about the aether in this book! Oh, and early reviews have mentioned that this one definitely doesn't suffer from sequel syndrome!

I recently finished reading this and it was just as good as book 1! It was great re-connecting with Roar, Perry, and Aria - they're such great characters. <3
ReplyDeletei have not read the first book, but i hope you enjoy your read =)
ReplyDeleteCheck out my WoW
I have friends who have read the ARC, and they say it's even better than UTNS! I've had UTNS since February, but it's always checked out by one of my students. I've hijacked it and hidden it so I can read it during Christmas break :)
ReplyDeleteHere is my WoW pick for this week!
This reminds me that I need to start this series as soon as possible. I am quite possibly the last person on the planet who hasn't read the first book. Maybe during my Christmas break. I certainly hope so.
ReplyDeleteGreat pick and so good to have you back.
I'm glad to hear people liked it. I read the first book in one sitting pretty much. I can't wait! Here's my Waiting On Wednesday

I wasn't in love with the first but I liked it enough to continue for sure. Super curious where this one will go!
ReplyDeleteAh, I had more mixed feelings about the first book than you, but I admit to some curiosity about how the story will turn out. BUT WHAT ABOUT THE VIOLETS, eh?

I really, really need to read the first book in this series. So much praise and hype for this author's works yet I still haven't managed to find time to read it! Anyhow, great pick :) I hope this one doesn't disappoint.
ReplyDeleteAlso, yayyy I'm so glad you're back from your brief hiatus!
