Why am I waiting? I love books where characters have superpowers. This has been marketed as "X-Men meets Ocean's Eleven" so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it lives up to its potential.

Why am I waiting? That summary! I was a bit late in reading this series as I couldn't believe that it would live up to the hype, but I was proved wrong. Days of Blood and Starlight was even better than Daughter of Smoke and Bone so I can't wait to see how Taylor will conclude this series.

Why am I waiting? Besides Jensen being a Canadian author, I love fantasy and haven't read a book involving trolls yet.

Why am I waiting? I loved McCahan's debut novel I Now Pronounce You Someone Else when I read it way back in 2010 and have been patiently waiting for her sophomore novel. I hope the four years of wait will be worth it!

Why am I waiting? Although this one deals with cancer, it sounds like it may be more humourous than depressing. I'm really curious to see what Alice's bucket list consists of and to find out how she deals with the consequences of her actions once she goes into remission.

Why am I waiting? Although the premise reminds me a bit of The Hunger Games, I love stories involving quests. Also, from Scott's website, I know that this book features creatures called Pandoras that each Contender gets. I really enjoy stories where the main character's pet plays an important role and hope that Pandoras can talk, which would make them even more awesome.

Why am I waiting? I'm not going to lie, but a huge reason that I'm attracted to this novel is because of the cover! I also love steampunk, and think the premise of this one sounds very intriguing and mysterious.

Why am I waiting? I love retellings, but haven't read one yet about The Wizard of Oz. This one sounds deliciously violent!

Why am I waiting? I really enjoyed Pivot Point, and can't wait to "meet" Trevor again. I'm also curious to see if West can make me change my mind about Laila since I wasn't really a fan of her in Pivot Point.

Why am I waiting? I love fantasy and magic, and so put The Burning Sky on my wishlist as soon as I heard about it. This is also the YA debut of a romance author, which I'm hoping means that the romance is going to be slow-burning and full of chemistry.

Why am I waiting? I'm not normally a dystopian fan but I love the sound of The Testing, especially the idea of not being able to trust anyone. I also like the two options presented to Cia: "love without truth or life without trust." I really hope The Testing lives up to my expectations.

Why am I waiting? I enjoyed both Twenty Boy Summer and Bittersweet, and am currently reading (and liking) Fixing Delilah. So, it just makes sense that I'd be excited about The Book of Broken Hearts. It looks as if Ockler will continue to emphasize familial relationships, which I love. And, of course, there's going to be a cute guy to swoon over :)

Why am I waiting? I'm not going to lie: I was attracted to this because of the pretty cover :) But, Chantress also has magic, is set in seventeenth century England, and sounds like it has a romance that develops slowly.

Why am I waiting? I loved Under the Never Sky and after reading the excerpt provided on HarperTeen's website, it's not surprising that I can't wait to get my hands on it. We're apparently going to learn a lot more about the aether in this book! Oh, and early reviews have mentioned that this one definitely doesn't suffer from sequel syndrome!

Why am I waiting? It's a fantasy that sounds a bit like Kristin Cashore's Graceling ... but set in Ancient Korea. And, judging from what I've read from the author about how much she research she did, it sounds like her research was quite thorough. Also, Prophecy was blurbed by Marie Lu and Robin LaFevers, two authors whose novels I loved.

Why am I waiting? First off, the author is a Canadian which I think is reason enough to read it :) Other reasons though include: a) there are ogres, goblins and ghouls, b) the Goblin King sounds hot - I'm shallow, I know! - and c) rather than humans doing the hunting, it seems like we are the hunted. I just hope Greta acts like a bounty hunter and doesn't disappoint me like Celaena from Throne of Glass.
